Anytime someone talks about Island Paradise the first thing they always say is “it looked great and had so much fun stuff included, but I could never get my computer to run it, so I couldn’t actually play it.” These together made packs like Island Paradise impossible to play. Then on top of that the create-a-style system, which made it possible to put any color and pattern on any item made the game extremely slow loading in all of the textures and such that waiting for the lots assets to load felt like a loading screen anyway. The open world was great in theory, but the reality of it was that it made it nearly impossible for anyone to play the game well. The things people love about Sims 3 the most are the same reasons why it’s my least favorite.
